The Chestnut

Chestnut is distinguished mainly by being smaller than the marrons, more elongated and the outer skin dark.

The chestnut is less appreciated for its taste less sweet and more difficult to remove the skin while in the interior chestnuts penetrates more in the flesh of the fruit.
